SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

How Parivan processes, ships and delivers marketplace orders in Nepal, including COD, failed delivery, reverse pickup and Kathmandu Valley pilot coverage

Operated in Nepal only  ·  Single operating establishment  ·  Multi-vendor apparel marketplace (intermediary)
Issued: 03 September 2026  ·  Document: PARIVAN-POL-SHIP-001  ·  Version 1.0

COMPLETION REQUIRED.  Placeholders in square brackets (for example [COMPANY LEGAL NAME]) must be completed with the registered particulars of the operating company before these documents are published or executed. Until then, these drafts are internal working documents and must not be treated as executed contracts.

1. ROLE OF PARIVAN AND THE CARRIER

Orders on the Parivan Platform are fulfilled from Vendor-owned stock. Parivan coordinates pickup and last-mile delivery through one or more third-party logistics partners (“3PL”). Parivan does not operate its own delivery fleet unless a listing expressly says otherwise. This Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of [COMPANY LEGAL NAME].

The 3PL is responsible for loss or damage after pickup from the Vendor (or consolidation point) until attempted delivery, under the 3PL agreement. The Vendor is responsible for packing quality and for the condition of the goods at pickup. You are responsible for a complete address, a reachable phone, and being available to receive the parcel.

2. SERVICE AREA

During the pilot, Parivan delivers primarily within Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and adjoining serviceable areas as listed at checkout). Expansion outside the Valley will be announced on the Platform. If your location is not serviceable, checkout will not complete or we will contact you to cancel at no cost.

For some inner or restricted locations we may ask you to collect from a nearby hub. We will tell you in advance.

3. TIMELINES (ESTIMATES, NOT GUARANTEES)

Stage

Pilot standard

Vendor stock confirmation

Within 4 business hours of order placement (business days, 10:00–18:00 Nepal time)

Pickup readiness

Same day or next business day after confirmation

Kathmandu Valley delivery after pickup

Typically 1–3 business days

Reverse pickup after approved return

Scheduled after claim approval; commonly 1–4 business days depending on 3PL

Estimates begin when the order is confirmed, not when it sits unpaid in a cart. Delays caused by incomplete address, unreachable phone, bandh, landslide, flood, general strike, epidemic, government restriction, 3PL disruption, or force majeure are beyond our reasonable control. We will update you where practicable. Public holidays and Nepal bandh days are not business days.

4. ORDER PROCESSING

1.      You place the order on the Platform.

2.      We and/or the Vendor confirm stock. If stock fails, we cancel that line and do not charge (or we refund prepaid).

3.      We may call or SMS to verify address and COD willingness. If we cannot reach you after reasonable attempts, we may cancel.

4.      The 3PL picks up from the Vendor or a designated point.

5.      You receive tracking by SMS, website, or account.

6.      Delivery is attempted at the stated address. COD is collected by the rider if that is your method.

5. CHARGES

Delivery charges (if any) are shown at checkout before you confirm. Parivan may offer free delivery above a stated basket value, or as a campaign. Delivery charges already incurred on a Track B (change of mind) return may be non-refundable. Track A (non-conformity) returns do not carry an extra return charge to you.

6. CASH ON DELIVERY

If you chose COD: have the exact amount where possible; inspect as described in the Return Policy; pay on handover. The rider is not authorised to grant discounts, open sealed inner poly except as we instruct for inspection, or collect a different amount. Tips are optional and not Parivan’s.

If you are unavailable, the 3PL will typically retry a limited number of times and call the number on the order. After failed attempts the parcel may be returned to the Vendor. Repeated COD refusals or fake addresses are a breach of the Terms and may result in prepaid-only status, recovery of reverse cost, and account suspension. This clause exists because COD non-acceptance is the principal cash-flow killer of Nepalese marketplaces.

7. PREPAID ORDERS

If you paid before dispatch, title still passes on delivery. If the order is cancelled before dispatch or cannot be delivered for a reason not attributable to you, we refund in accordance with the Return Policy.

8. FAILED, WRONG-ADDRESS AND CHANGED-ADDRESS ORDERS

You may request an address change only before pickup, and only to another serviceable location. After pickup, change is at our and the 3PL’s discretion and may attract a fee. We are not responsible if you gave a wrong or incomplete address or an unreachable number.

9. DAMAGE IN TRANSIT

Refuse a visibly destroyed parcel at the door and notify us the same day. For hidden in-transit damage, raise a Track A claim within 3 days with photos. We will claim against the 3PL and/or Vendor according to the responsibility matrix. You should not have to run that claim yourself.

10. REVERSE PICKUP

Approved returns are collected by the 3PL or dropped at a point we specify. Keep the item ready in original packing. If you miss reverse pickup repeatedly, we may close the claim.

11. RISK AND TITLE

Risk passes to you on delivery and acceptance, or on unreasonable refusal of a conforming delivery. Title passes from the Vendor to you on delivery and (for COD) payment. Parivan does not take title to Vendor stock except if it expressly buys the goods.

12. CONTACT

Support: [SUPPORT EMAIL] / [SUPPORT PHONE]. Have your order number ready.

It should be read with the other Parivan legal documents in force at the time of the relevant order or onboarding.
